Woman day. 三八妇女节.

Today's the international women day, and on my way to study at uni, the road was blocked for about half an hour so as the protestors for women's right can cross the road. The protest is for a good cause, but it made many ppl on the road unhappy.

Thailand has seen so many protests ever since thaksin's time. That's for almost 5 years. It becomes a way of life of the Thai. Everything results in protests. Rice price low, farmers protests. Women day, women's right activist protests. Cambodian put Thai prisoner, ppl come out to protest to arrest all cambodian too. Principal in certain school did a poor job in managing school, school students and teachers protest. In fact, even now, I myself feel that the protest activity feels more like an art fest, a marketing event, more than a political issues. Actually this women right protest had been going on for a few days inside my university. I just didn't think they would March today. For the last few days, there were meetings, pep talks, and musical talent show. Got glimpse of it when I go for lunch break. Protests are more like entertainment now. Wondering of Thailand will change their position from Thailand: the land of smiles, to Thailand: the land of protest arts.

Think might just pull a whole bunch of tourists here.
