One of the most beautiful temple I had ever seen. Its built recently 7 years ago. It's not done yet, and is in the work in process.... but even in WIP, it still looks magnificent. The temple itself is made from people's donation of spare plates, cups, tiles, and vases etc. Even though it is made from different different pieces, it still looks fabulous.......
This picture is taken at the entrance to the temple. There are 2 entrance, one is deep down below, and takes really lots of effort to climb. Due to our group having many old people, and we have 1 person on wheelchair, we decide to park the car nearer the backdoor. This is the picture taken from the back door. The back door does not have a proper parking space. Parking here requires creativity.Temple from inside. You can see the pillars are designed differently, with different colors. This is because they used different sets of tiles to make them. All of the tiles are donated. The round round things seen all over pillars are cover or base of pots or vases. Some are these vases are not normal vases, but vases used for containing the ashes of the dead.
They try to make this pillar looks like a waterfall. It looked better in reality than in my picture though.
The temple is all colorful from the outside with all kinds of bright colors covering the temple. It takes lots of patience, time, creativity, and skill to create this temple. I'm impressed by the creator of this temple. Wondering if its only 1 designer. But I doubt so as the temple is huge!!! its about 6 floors in height. Oh yeah, did I mention that it is situated on top of a hill? So those with fear of height, please take care. I had shaky legs when I reached the 5th floor of the temple. The 6th floor is currently off limit.
Different Pillar designs...
The view from the temple.... Impressive....
A little surprise... I saw these 4 peacocks hanging around the praying area of the temple, hiding right next to the Buddha statue. 2 of which are white. It is the 1st time I saw live animals in a temple, and such a beautiful animal in such a beautiful temple. End up, I think they were not supposed to be there as they were chased out by the temple staffs. 1st time I saw peacock fly..... and off the 3rd floor of the temple...
A beautiful Pagoda with beautiful sky....
We can see that they use different bases of bowls and Vase to design the walls of the temple... Even with different sizes. Lots of patience required to make this I'm sure...
The Buddha around the temple. Not sure if they will cover the Buddha in tiles... It would look interesting though...
Can;t take enough pictures of the pagoda...
Each pillars is beautiful and different...
This is a Chinese tea cup... Hand painted in Thailand. Ended up as a decoration on the wall.....
Another Buddha around the temple...
Can see that they use broken bowls and pots to design the bottom part of this rock. Took it as proof that its from wasted materials. Because other area of the temple may look like its not. This one can tell is bowls...
Different type of tiles used on the staircase.
Wasted tiles... made this wall....
Around the temple area.... very nice...
Would like to bring her here some day given the chance....
